Back in 2023, I published my first book, The Tumult of My Heart. I wasn’t ready for such a thing, not truly. The cover image was awful. The writing required finetuning. So, I decided to revisit and rewrite the entire thing. Now available is the second edition of this deconstruction memoir; one that describes the beliefs and atmosphere of my upbringing, but it does not stay there. It confronts mainstream Christianity on its own turf, then journeys onwards towards something more enlightened, something more at peace with reality.
So what changed? Well, I cut 1,000 words out of the text, mostly filler words I would be embarrassed to leave now. But then I added 23 pages of new material and rewrote the rest six times. I also made a hardback edition, the first time I’ve tested those waters. My niece, Rachel, handcrafted a gorgeous new cover for the release, as well, and so this is the book as it should have been.
The paperback version is available now for US readers through my Author Store below. This is the best way to order it since it will come directly from my hands. It is also available in multiple formats on Amazon and a wide variety of other retailers. I’ve linked some below, but Googling it should bring up results in your region of the world.
